Description

“Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil.” (Ephesians 5:15-16 ESV)

1. Stewardship involves your time. (Ephesians 5:14-15)

“One who is faithful in a very little is also faithful in much, and one who is dishonest in a very little is also dishonest in much. If then you have not been faithful in the unrighteous wealth, who will entrust to you the true riches? And if you have not been faithful in that which is another’s, who will give you that which is your own? No servant can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.” (Luke 16:10-13 ESV)

2. Stewardship involves your money. (Luke 16:10-13)

      1. You are to be faithful with what God has entrusted to your care. (Luke 16:10-12)

      2. You are to use it as God commands. (Luke 16:12)

*Give the first and best (Prov. 3:9).

       * Give generously, cheerfully, and sacrificially. (2 Corinthians 9:6-7; Proverbs 11:24; Luke 6:38; Acts 4:34-35).

       * Give to further His Kingdom. (Luke 16:13)

      3. How you use it reveals your heart. (Luke 16:13)

Application:

1. Evaluate how you spend your time and money.

2. Pray about and make some goals of how you will spend your time and money.

3. Be faithfully obedient to what God is commanding you to do with your time and money.
