“And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common. And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need. And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:42-47 ESV)

As a believer:

1. I must be devoted to reading, hearing and obeying the Word of God.

2. I should have a desire to share life together with other believers.

3. I must make prayer a priority in my life.

4. I must trust that God can do the impossible.

5. I must protect the unity of the church.

*We do not create unity, but we can break it.

*Jesus prayed for the church to have unity.

6. I must be a cheerful giver of God’s resources.

*God is the source of every good gift.

*God wants you to be a good steward, not a collector.

*You are to honor God with your giving.
